Hamas' Biggest Tunnel uncovered, used on Oct 7

It added that Hamas infrastructure "was located in the direct vicinity of commercial stores, government buildings, civilian residences, and a designated school for deaf children."
Palestine Square is the centre of Hamas's strategic tunnel network, the Israeli military said, and connects to underground infrastructure in the area of the nearby Rantisi and Shifa hospitals. The complex linked offices, underground meeting rooms and residences, and a workshop for tunnel construction was found nearby.
The offices of the top Hamas political leader, Ismail Haniyeh, and the group's head in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar - both high on Israel's most-wanted list - were connected by an underground tunnel shaft, the Israeli military said. Israeli officials believe that Sinwar coordinated the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel. Haniyeh is in Egypt meeting with mediators about a potential pause in fighting.
The Israeli military released a video, images and graphics purporting to show the elaborate Hamas infrastructure it said it uncovered. Israel's military said its also uncovered a "strategic tunnel route connected to other significant underground infrastructure" that allowed senior Hamas officials to make covert escapes and to move securely in Gaza.
